People fail to reach a goal when they do not believe in themselves enough to persist until they reach it. They may even set goals that are not motivating enough to reach keep working towards them. So how can one set goals that are motivating enough to keep working towards them? Most people do not even know how to set goals. Only 4% of our society have their goals written down on paper, are you one of the 96% or the 4%.

Would you like to be one of the 4%? All it takes is a choice to decide right now that you are not going to fail to reach a goal and you are going to do whatever it takes to reach it. Next is to determine what is important to you. It can be health, career, family- it can be anything to you then you want to put them in order of priority.

If you require assistance with figuring out how to keep these things in order and want to take real steps to accomplishing your goals withoug fear of failing to reach them, after all most people’s fear keeps them from working towards their goals. I highly recommend checking out a personal development program that can keep you on track towards all your goals. If you do not have a personal development program in your house then chances are you are not reaching your goals.

Another reason people fail to reach a goal is because they fail to write them down. One of the most important steps about reaching our goals is to phrase them in a positive manner and write them down so you can look at them everyday. Be sure to identify any milestones and dates you would like to accomplish your goals. This gives you a timeline to follow and a marker of achievement.

Without a date attached to it; the goal is actually just a dream. Without a date you can never expect to reach your goal. Remail conscientious that the goals you set for yourself are realistic and attainable. People fail to reach a goal because they set unrealistic goals for themselves, nothing hurts our self esteem and ego worse than failing to reach a goal that was too big in the first place.

It’s fair to say that wanting to be as wealthy as Donald Trump in the next three years is not a realistic goal, however promising yourself to beginning a online business in the next month is reasonable. Let your common sense be your guide to keeping your goals attainable and within your reach to help you stay motivated and persistent.

This is real life and sometimes we do all the steps correctly. We decide what we want, we write it down, and we have personal development program to help us along our journey. However even though we do everything correctly sometimes people still fail to reach a goal. If this happens to you (and it may sometimes) do not allow yourself despair and grief. Take the failure and the lessons you learned as a learning experience for the next goals you set. Through this experience you can develop ways to overcome obstacles that you encounter for the next goal you set for yourself.

Always remember that saying “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” The bottom line here is anything worth attaining is worth the your effort. So let’s strive towards our goals one day at a time and we will reach them together; after all no one accomplishes anything without a plan.
