Achieving Your Goals Using Your Imagination

Achieving Your Goals Using Your Imagination

As I’ve stated previously, lack of effort is the main reason why people fail in the online marketing industry (given they’ve received proper training). Once people see what’s actually required of themselves to succeed in this industry, many give up with little effort, or without even trying at all. Setting personal goals can be one huge factor in changing that. You may think this is a ridiculous statement, or a meaningless factor, but it’s not. What better way to motivate yourself to achieve your goals than to envision actually accomplishing these goals and achieving some level of personal fulfillment?

Take a few minutes to write out a list of 30 things you dream of achieving (10 short-term, 10 long-term, and 10 very long-term). Personally, the freedom of working from home, the additional free time, the money (can’t lie), and the ability to help others, are personal factors which motivate me to achieve my goals (all factors in personal happiness). When I first began this business I made such a list… here are a few examples from that list to help give you some ideas:

1) Become a skilled guitar player (time)
2) Buy my dream car (money)
3) Buy a nice condo in my neighbourhood (money)
4) Travel (time, money, and personal freedom to do what I want when I want)
5) Help my family and friends get out of debt (money)
6) Quit the job that I hate (happiness)

Make your own list (if you can think of more than 30 goals then keep writing), and spend ten or fifteen minutes a day vividly imagining accomplishing these goals. If your goal is to buy your dream car, imagine yourself in that car… how it feels to be in it… how it feels to own it… the rush of driving it. If your goal is to spend more time with your family, imagine the happiness you’d feel having the freedom to be with them essentially whenever you like… and so on. Personally, this kind of thinking gets me pumped up and excited. If you want to succeed in this industry, this visualization will get you motivated to get up and actually do the work! Will you achieve your goals in the current situation you’re in? Will running a successful work-at-home business help you achieve your goals? If so, they should be all the motivation you need to get up and put in some hard work.

    Very good post-

I would argue that the primory reason people fail in anything in life (personal and profesional), is not so much from a lack of clarity or focus with respect to their specific SMART goals, but fear of failure and lack of FAITH (either in themselves or in God) that they will not acheive what they set out to accomplish.

fear is powerful motivator-which can paralyze dreams and aspirtations before the ink even dries on paper.

    FEAR FUELS FAILURE…

Irrespective of yoyur faith, or belief ssytem-people need to have the faith to beleive in themsleves or in God that they actually will acheive what they set out to accomplish.
Like the old saying…If you can BELIEVE it you can Achieve it…conversley, if you don’t believe it..guess what…you probably won’t…

    Best-

    Wayne
